IIMAA World’s Fastest Kick Competition- This competition is open to all adult competitors 18 and over. There will be 3 divisions: Men’s Lightweight, Men’s Heavyweight, and Women’s Open. Using specially designed measuring equipment participants will compete for the title of “World’s Fastest Kick”, and the marketing and promotional opportunities that go along with the title.

Prize Money and Awards- Winners of each division will receive a cash prize of $1000 (based on full class), official documentation suitable for framing, and an official trophy commemorating the event.

Competition basics-

  • Competitors will be positioned in front of a specially designed machine.
  • The kick must be delivered from a stationary position.
  • Any kick may be used.
  • Competitor will have 2 attempts to produce the fastest kick possible. The better of the 2 attempts will be used. 
  • All competitors will be required to cover the same distance from the location of their foot on the floor to the striking surface of the machine. All competitors will be required to cover a linear distance of approx. 30 inches from the starting point of the foot to the striking surface of the machine. The striking surface will be approx. 40 inches off the floor. CLICK HERE for approx. layout.
  • The striking surface must be moved in order to register as a valid strike.
  • Once the striking surface is struck the attempt will count.
  • Time will start once competitor initiates the kick and stop when the striking surface is moved.
  • In the event of a tie, tied competitors will compete again until a winner is determined.

Classes: Men’s Lightweight- 199.9lbs and under, Men's Heavyweight- 200lbs and over; Women’s Open

Start Time: 12pm- Saturday, July 17, 2010

Qualifiers: Qualifiers will be held starting Saturday at 12pm. The top ten competitors with the fastest kick in each class from the qualifiers will compete Sunday morning for the title of “World’s Fastest Kick”.

Registration: $105 entry fee includes general admission. Limited to the first 50 competitors per class from around the World.
